Following the initial assessment, the results will be reviewed and discussed and recommendations will be made if acupuncture is the most effective treatment choice for a patients injuries' and recovery.

During a treatment session, acupuncture needles are inserted into specific acupuncture points that are most beneficial for a patients unique injury and recovery. A combination of acupuncture points both around and away from the injured area may be used. The needles will remain in place for a period of time to achieve their desired affects. Acupuncture Treatment
Benefits of Acupuncture
Acupuncture points are connected throughout the body in energy lines called meridians. Meridians connect distant areas of the body, such as your foot and lower back, allowing multiple areas to be impacted and treated at once. This can assist in pain control and recovery for complex injuries and conditions. Every acupuncture point has a different effect on the body and is used in various combinations to treat specific injuries and conditions. Some acupuncture points are better at controlling pain, while others assist with decreasing swelling and inflammation.

Acupuncture Meridians in the neck and upper back
There are numerous benefits of acupuncture such as: decreasing inflammation, optimizing tissue healing by increasing local blood flow, and assisting the nervous system to return to a more balanced state. All of these effects are achieved by stimulating specific acupuncture points with an acupuncture needle, causing the body to release natural chemicals. No drugs or other medications are injected into acupuncture points during treatment session.
After Treatment
Every patient will respond differently to acupuncture. Most patients will experience a reduction in pain, calming of the nervous system, increase in mobility and some fatigue after treatment; however, complex injuries and persistent pain syndromes may require a few treatments before significant improvements are noticed.
